Tuuli Lindeberg

Soprano Tuuli Lindeberg is one of the leading performers of baroque and contemporary vocal music in Finland. She has often been praised by critics for her pure quality of voice and her musical versatility. She regularly collaborates with leading chamber orchestras and baroque music ensembles in her native country, appearing frequently as a soloist in oratorios, choral works and in concert recitals. She is a regular guest soloist of numerous Finnish music festivals and performs regularly on national radio and TV in concerts and other music programs. Tuuli Lindeberg collaborates regularly with young Finnish composers and has world premiered several vocal works written for her voice.

Her stage work includes appearances  at the Finland National Opera, Ilmajoki Music Festival and at the Finnish  National Lyric Theater in roles such as Kleopatra (J.A. Hasse: Marc’Antonio e Cleopatra), Schutzgeist (Leopold Kozeluch: Gustav Wasa), Dido (Henry Purcell: Dido och Aeneas), The Woman (Lauri Kilpiö: Mustan veden yli), ”E” (Juhani Nuorvala: Flash flash), Caroline (Riikka Talvitie: The Judge’s Wife) as well as the soprano part  in the vocal quartet in  Kaija Saariaho’s Only the Sound Remains.

Before her beginning her vocal studies Ms. Lindeberg studied piano, music theory and choral conducting at the Sibelius Academy. She received her MA degree in solo voice at the Sibelius Academy in 2002. Currently she works as a freelance singer and teaches baroque music at the Sibelius Academy and at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. Tuuli Lindeberg was appointed new artistic director for the Finnish Musica Nova festival in 2021.
